Since 1996 State Auto Tag & Insurance has helped South Florida residents find the best insurance for their cars, boats and motorcycles. We offer a level of service that many traditional insurance agencies don’t. Since we are family-owned and operated we also treat our customers as an extension of our family.

Meet Our Family
Deborah started her professional career in 1981, with Broadway Insurance Agency as a Customer Service Representative. In 1982 she obtained her 220 insurance license with a near perfect score on the then written essay exam. She stayed with Broadway Insurance until 1987 when she purchased Congress Insurance Agency located in West Palm Beach.
While owner of Congress Insurance Deborah perfected her specialty, Business Owners and General Liability Insurance while dealing with many of the general contractors and business owners in the greater Palm Beach area. With the birth of her first child, Alexa in 1994 Deborah realized that she could no longer continue the long commute from Broward to Palm Beach County and decided to sell Congress Insurance Agency and work in the Broward County area.
In 1996, Deborah collaborated with her brother Eric and together they purchased State Auto Tag & Insurance Agency. In her 25 + year career, Deborah has obtained extensive knowledge and insight in the insurance field and an uncanny ability to understand the needs of her clients. She is a consummate professional who cares deeply about the people who put their trust in her.
Mars Alexa Echeverria
Eric moved to the South Florida area in 1981. After graduating from J.P. Taravella High School in 1988, he went on to attend Auburn University and graduated with a B.S. in psychology in 1992. When he returned to South Florida, Eric started his professional career as a Broward County Public School substitute teacher.
After a short stint as a substiute, Eric got a job as a Customer Service Representative with Just Insurance in Pompano Beach in 1994. In 1995, Eric moved on to be Office Manager for Stirling Insurance Agency and was responsible for all day-to-day operations. In 1996, Eric teamed up with his sister and together they purchased State Auto Tag and Insurance Agency.
When he started his business with his family, Eric wanted to operate under one simple philosophy, do not make a sale, make a client. When you own a family business, you must treat your clients like family if you wish to keep them in this multimedia high-speed age. Always offering the right product at the best available price is not enough. You must have compassion, integrity and the willingness to do what is best for your client, even if it is not what is best for the bottom line.
